At Mason's Inlet Retriever's, our commitment is to uphold and enhance the breed, while ensuring your next family companion is perfectly suited for your home. We rigorously health test every dog in our family and breeding program through OFA and Pawprint Genetics to guarantee that our puppies are healthy and free from genetic issues. Raised indoors, loved daily, and truly part of our family, our dogs and puppies receive the highest level of care. Training starts at 3 weeks old to ensure a smooth transition from our family to yours. Before they go home, puppies are introduced to crate training, potty training, and basic obedience, providing a strong foundation. Each puppy leaves with a detailed training portfolio to guide you in continuing their progress. Due to high demand, our puppies are typically reserved months in advance.

Welcoming a dog into your family is a significant, lifelong commitment—one that we take very seriously. As responsible and dedicated breeders, we’re here to guide you through every step of the journey. We prioritize health, conformation, and temperament in each planned breeding, ensuring our puppies are healthy, well-structured, and well-adjusted. Our puppies are born and raised in our home, where they’re socialized from day one with early neurological stimulation and lots of attention. Before they join their new families, we introduce them to crate training, a variety of sounds and surfaces, and they receive a full veterinary health check. Each puppy goes home with a detailed portfolio, including copies of the parents' OFA clearances, pedigrees, vaccine records, and helpful information for new owners.

What to expect

Reach Out Early

Each litter is thoughtfully planned and meticulously prepared for. Because our puppies are raised indoors with the highest level of care, litters are small and usually reserved months before birth. Contact us to ask about upcoming litters and get your name on our inquiry list early.

Reserve Your Spot

A $500 non-refundable deposit holds your specific place in the reservation line. When placing your deposit, you will select your preference for either a male or female, and the color of the puppy. The total puppy price varies by litter, and all puppies are sold strictly on AKC Limited Registration.

Puppy Updates & Health Tracking

We will share updates as the litter develops. You can rest assured knowing that all parents are rigorously health tested via Pawprint Genetics for PRA-PRCD, HNPK, EIC, CNM, Retinal Dysplasia, and Skeletal Dysplasia to ensure your puppy has the healthiest start possible.

Pickup Day (8 weeks)

Puppies cannot leave until they are at least 8 weeks of age. On pickup day, the remaining balance is due (accepted via cash, personal check, or Zelle) plus NC sales tax. Your puppy goes home completely socialized, introduced to early training, and accompanied by a detailed training portfolio to guide you at home.

Vet Check Window & Guarantee

You have a 3-day window to have a licensed veterinarian examine your new puppy. Hips and elbows are guaranteed up to 12 months of age, provided the puppy is kept on NuVet vitamins.

About Mason's Inlet Retriever's

We are located in Hampstead, North Carolina, and we have been devoted to Labradors for over 20 years. As a small hobby breeder, we treat each of our dogs as family members—they live indoors with us as beloved companions. We carefully plan one to two litters a year, ensuring each puppy receives the focused care, training, and affection they deserve.

Our primary focus is health and temperament. Puppies are raised in our home, loved, and socialized daily. We begin basic training at 3 weeks, starting with potty training, to set a foundation for a smooth transition to their new homes. Each puppy we raise reflects our passion and high standards; they are full English, health-tested, easy to train, beautifully coated, and have a calm demeanor. Our Labradors truly have it all.
